Soul Coughing will return to the city where it all started to end their reunion tour. The band teamed with nugs.net to offer a livestream of their October 4th concert at New York City’s Brooklyn Steel, the group’s first hometown performance since 1999.
The band’s four original members — Mike Doughty, Sebastian Steinberg, Mark degli Antoni and Yuval Gabay — kicked off the unexpected reunion tour on September 11 in Solana Beach, California. Soul Coughing are making their way to the East Coast where the run will end with three nights in NYC.

The highly influential quartet formed in New York City in 1992 and released three albums before disbanding in 2000. Soul Coughing swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live early in the tour to play “Super Bon Bon.” The visit marked the band’s first late-night television appearance since 1998.
Soul Coughing’s October 4 livestream begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The webcast is currently available for pre-order with nugs.net subscribers getting a discount. Mike, Mark, Sebastian and Yuval will play two sold-out shows at Brooklyn Steel before heading to Manhattan to close the tour with a third and final NYC concert at Terminal 5 on October 6.
