Watch sombr Perform Mesmerizing Acoustic ‘Fade Into You’ Cover For SiriusXM
The 19-year-old musician covered the Mazzy Star classic at the SiriusXM studios.

sombr recently swung by the SiriusXM studios to perform a session for the Alt Nation channel. The singer-songwriter/producer’s set featured a stripped-down take on Mazzy Star's 1994 hit “Fade Into You.”
Born in New York City as Shane Michael Boose, sombr has released three singles in 2025. The 19-year-old recently issued “we never dated,” which followed “back to friends” and “undressed.” sombr will perform at Summer Sonic festivals in Osaka and Tokyo this August before embarking on a North American tour in September.

Mazzy Star originally released “Fade Into You” on their sophomore studio album, 1993’s So Tonight That I Might See. The song peaked at number three on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart the following year.
sombr started covering “Fade Into You” during his recently completed European tour. He was accompanied by a guitarist, keyboardist and bassist for his unplugged rendition at the SiriusXM studios.
