Following the surprise release of their self-titled debut album last week, Snocaps confirmed their first tour dates. The new project featuring twin sisters Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee and Allison Crutchfield of Swearin’ will play two-night stands in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City in December, with different support lined up for each show.

Snocaps will make their debut with back-to-back concerts at Chicago’s Thalia Hall on December 1 and 2, with support from Cloakroom and Graham Hunt respectively. The run continues at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom on December 4 and 5, featuring Slippers and Mike Krol as openers. The tour concludes with concerts at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on December 7 and 8, with Brennan Wedl supporting the first night and Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band opening on night two.

Snocaps marks the first collaborative music made by the Crutchfield twins since their time together in the defunct band P.S. Eliot. According to the tour announcement, Snocaps will “put the project on ice for the foreseeable future” after the brief initial tour.

Released through ANTI-Records, Snocaps was produced and engineered by Brad Cook, who also played on the record. Another of Katie Crutchfield’s recent collaborators, MJ Lenderman, also appeared on the 13-track album. The four participants each played multiple instruments during the recording sessions and will perform together on the upcoming tour.

Artist presale tickets go on sale on Wednesday, Nov 5 at 10 a.m. local time (code: COAST). Remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov 7 at 10 am local time.
