Campout For The Cause, Now Smalltown For The Cause, Shifts Locations For 2025

Campout For The Cause announced a name and location change for the 2025 edition. Smalltown for the Cause will take place at Salida, Colorado’s scenic Riverside Park September 19 and 20 with Colorado’s own Elephant Revival headlining both nights.

Also set to perform at Smalltown For The Cause 2025 are Moontricks, Clay Street Unit, Lindsay Lou, Kat Factor, WinterWonderWomen, Pickin’ On The Dead, Magoo, Bonfire Dub, Ramona, LVDY, and more.

Campout For The Cause announced its 2025 lineup in April after a six year hiatus with plans to remain at the festival’s home of Hutchinson Ranch. Bonfire Entertainment, the organization who also helms WinterWonderGrass and BajaWonderGrass, founder Scotty Stoughton shared an update on some challenges the Hutchinson Ranch was facing upon announcing the 2025 lineup.

“The seven-generation Hutchinson Ranch needs our help to keep their open spaces open, as Salida’s strong agricultural roots are being challenged by development,” he said.

With the announcement of the new location and rename, Stoughton detailed the excitement surrounding the festival’s new home at Riverside Park.

“Every challenge leads to an opportunity, and after landing at Riverside Park, we all realized The Universe was sending us a message!” Stoughton stated. “To be downtown, on the river, at the surfing wave and the trailhead for biking and hiking is just perfect! Surrounded by the welcoming and authentic community of Salida feels right. With camping 1 mile away and several lodging options in town, this is the ideal situation. We can’t wait for September.”

The “Cause” for this year’s event is supporting the aforementioned Hutchinson Ranch and the Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association (COTBDAA).
