Sheila E. Leads Jon Batiste & Stay Human For Beatles Cover On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Earlier this month, famed percussionist/vocalist Sheila E. released the album Iconic: Message 4 America featuring covers of beloved rock songs. Last night, the longtime Prince collaborator appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to perform one of the covers off the LP.

Colbert’s house band leader, Jon Batiste, introduced Sheila E. who then led Batiste and Stay Human on a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together.” Sheila provided both vocals and percussion on the funkified version of the Abbey Road classic.
