Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen performed their single “Like I Used To” during opening night of The Wild Hearts Tour with Julien Baker. Van Etten and Olsen came together during the former’s encore at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia.
Baker, who yesterday released a new three-song outtakes EP B-Sides, performed first, and featured a setlist pulling heavily from 2021’s Little Oblivions. Olsen was second to take the stage, her setlist centering around her 2022 album, Big Time.
Van Etten was the third and final act to perform on opening night. Her setlist was nearly equally divided between songs from 2019’s Remind Me Tomorrow and this year’s follow-up, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong. Van Etten also played a song from 2014’s Are We There and one from 2012’s Tramp.
Olsen came out during Van Etten’s encore to help sing “Like I Used To.” The pair released a recording of the song as a single in May 2021. They performed the track several times together, including at last year's Pitchfork Music Festival.
The Wild Hearts Tour continues tonight in Asheville, North Carolina. Watch audience-shot video of Thursday’s performance of “Like I Used To” below:
