Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings Play Tiny Desk Concert
By Scott Bernstein Dec 22, 2015 • 6:40 am PST

NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts video series continues to turn out the goods on a regular basis. The premise is simple: an act plays a short set at the intimate confines of NPR All Things Considered host Bob Boilen’s desk. The latest Tiny Desk Concert is just perfect for the holiday season as Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings stopped by to perform songs off It’s A Holiday Soul Party!.
The soul superstar and her band played a pair of Christmas songs as well as a Hanukkah tune for good measure. Jones’ set starts with a greasy take on “Silent Night” and continues with the funkiest Hanukkah song going – “Eight Days Of Hanukkah.” The set ends with another new holiday classic in the form of “Big Bulbs.” Watch Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings’ performance on Tiny Desk Concerts:
