Singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau paid tribute to the late Bill Withers by performing Withers’ 1971 classic “Grandma’s Hands” in a newly shared video. Montbleau recorded his rendition on Sunday, two days after news broke that Withers passed away.
Bill Withers included “Grandma’s Hands” on his debut studio album, Just As I Am. Booker T. Jones produced the song, which Withers noted was truly written about his grandmother. Keb’ Mo’, Gill Scott-Heron, The Staple Singers and Gladys Knight are among those who have covered “Grandma’s Hands.”
