A documentary feature film chronicling Rush‘s R40 Tour is coming to theaters for a one-night-only screening next month. Rush: Time Stand Still will be shown in select cinemas on Thursday, November 3.

The film features interviews with bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart and live performance footage from the band’s 40th anniversary – and perhaps final – tour, including their last show at The Forum in August 2015. The film also features an in-depth discussion regarding Rush conducted by Gene Simmons of Kiss, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy and Rush producer Nick Raskulinecz. Here’s more on what makes up the contents of the new movie:

In 2015, Rush went out for a 40th anniversary tour and it was rumored it may be their last tour of its kind. This might actually be the end of their life on the road. Rush: Time Stand Still is an event which covers the R40 tour and the unique relationship Rush have with their devoted fans.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band and crew throughout the tour provide the raw and vivid emotional undertones of this one-night event. At the core of the event are Rush’s devoted fans. Their undying devotion and their quirky sense of ownership are on full display as the R40 Tour comes to a crescendo in Los Angeles.

Personal stories highlight the importance Rush holds in their lives and the lasting impressions of their extensive catalog. For Rush, they are quick to acknowledge the role their fans have played in their success, which makes this tour so difficult.

Last November Rush released a concert DVD R40 Live that also documented their two performances on the R40 Tour at the Air Canada Centre in the trio’s hometown of Toronto. Tickets to the screenings of Rush: Time Stand Still go on sale on Friday, October 7. Head here for more information and watch a trailer below:
