When legendary Canadian trio Rush announced this summer’s R40 North American Tour, thepress release mentioned “[This] will most likely be their last major tour of this magnitude” which came after members of the band advised their next tour would probably be their last. On Saturday night Rush ended what just might be their last tour at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Fan reports about last night’s finale are positively glowing with fan-shot videos backing up the hyperbolic statements.

Rush presented material from throughout their career in reverse chronological order at The Forum as they have done throughout the tour. The evening’s big setlist change was the inclusion of fan-favorite rarity “Losing It” for just the fifth time ever. Rush was joined by special guest Jonathan Dinklage on violin for “Losing It.” Dinklage is the brother of Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage.
Towards the end of the evening’s final song, “Working Man,” drummer Neil Peart stood up at his kit and took photos of his band mates. Bassist Geddy Lee address the crowd by saying, “Thank you for 40 awesome years and I do hope we’ll meet again some time.” Watch fan-shot footage of what may be the final song “Rush” played live via 2112rushfanatic:
