Singer-songwriter siblings Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright were the musical guests on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The siblings got into the holiday spirit by performing a haunting cover of Sufjan Stevens’ Christmas song, “Justice Delivers Its Death.”

Stevens included a recording of his arrangement of “Justice Delivers Its Death,” on his 2010 EP, Christmas Unicorn: Songs for Christmas, Vol. X. The song is an interpolation of “Silver & Gold” by J. Marks, who also wrote such holiday classics as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas” and others. Stevens titled his 2012 box set Silver & Gold: Songs for Christmas, Vols. 6–10, which included the Christmas Unicorn EP alongside four other previously released holiday EPs.
