The 10th installment of the Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival is slated for Pop’s Farm just outside of Martinsville, Virginia on May 24 – 27. Organizers of the 10th annual event have just expanded the lineup.
The Wood Brothers and Robert Randolph & The Family Band will now join JJ Grey & Mofro a top the lineup. Other new additions include TAUK, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Zach Deputy, Dangermuffin, Cris Jacobs, Front Country and Kat Wright. Also, Yarn will host “The Last Yaltz,” a tribute to The Band’s famed 1976 farewell concert. Check out the current lineup below and expect the final lineup to be revealed in the coming weeks.
“The Wood Brothers have consistently been one of the most requested bands by our fans over the past few years, and Robert Randolph & The Family Band has been on our band wish list since the very first festival,” said Johnny Buck, who along with William Baptist, co-founded the festival in 2009. “We feel really fortunate to be able to add so many amazing artists to the band lineup as we prepare to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We can’t thank the fans, volunteers, sponsors and festival staff enough for growing this thing into the incredible celebration of life that has become.”
Not only will festivalgoers enjoy music across five stages, but RW10 will also offer a wide variety of kids’ activities, craft beer, food/arts vendors and on-site camping. A portion of festival proceeds benefit the Penn-Shank Memorial Scholarship as well as the Rooster Walk Music Instrument Program for entry-level band programs in the local area. Rooster Walk Inc. has donated over $150K to local and regional charities since the inaugural festival in 2009.
Tickets for Rooster Walk 10 are on sale now via the festival’s website.
