Rolling Stones To Welcome Guests Tonight In Lisbon

Update 4:20 p.m. PT: The Rolling Stones show in Lisbon is underway and Bruce Springsteen was the evening’s first guest. The Boss sat in on “Tumbling Dice” as he did on December 15, 2012. Watch fan-shot video of the guest spot:

This evening, The Rolling Stones bring their 14 On Fire tour to the Lisbon installment of Rock In Rio. A post on the band’s Twitter feed shares the news that The Rolling Stones will be joined by “some VERY special guests” tonight. We would expect the tweet means guests beyond Mick Taylor and the choirs that join the Stones at each show.

It just so happens that rocker Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti are currently in Lisbon with their daughter Jessica, so take that for what it’s worth. Fans were hoping the Stones’ set would be webcast, but Rock In Rio organizers have just revealed the band has not granted permission for a live broadcast.
