Rolling Stones Play Bust Out & Jam With Buddy Guy In Milwaukee

The Rolling Stones’ Zip Code Tour continued on Tuesday night at Summer Fest in Milwaukee, where the band was joined by an old friend and busted out a song they hadn’t played in nearly eight years.

Blues legend Buddy Guy, who opened the show, emerged seven songs into the Stones’ set to guest on a cover of Muddy Waters’ “Champagne & Reefer.” Guy has sat-in with the band a number of times in the past and a version of the pairing’s “Champagne & Reefer” cover was included in the 2008 concert film Shine A Light.

The other big deviation from typical Stones Zip Code Tour setlists came next, when the band dusted off “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” for the first time since July 14, 2007. “Heartbreaker” was performed by request based on fan voting. The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Concert Chorale came out to help The Rolling Stones begin their encore with “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
