The Rolling Stones will release the live archival set The Rolling Stones Live At The Wiltern on March 8 via Mercury Studios. Due out on DVD + 2CD, Blu-Ray + 2CD, 2CD and vinyl, the live album/concert film features the legendary band’s November 4, 2002 performance at the intimate Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

While The Stones brought the “Licks World Tour” in support of the 40th anniversary compilation Forty Licks mainly to large arenas and stadiums across the globe, they hit the cozy Wiltern a few months into the 117-show run. The core lineup of vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Ronnie Wood was joined on the “Licks World Tour” by bassist Darryl Jones, keyboardist Chuck Leavell, saxophonist Bobby Keys and backing vocalists Lisa Fischer, Bernard Fowler and Blondie Chaplin.

Over 80 songs were played by the band over the course of the celebratory excursion, which also came in support of their 40 Licks compilation. A number of rarities were fit into the 20-song setlist for the special night in the City of Angels including “Neighbours,” “Hand Of Fate,” “Dance Pt. 1,” “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love,” “Stray Cat Blues” and “No Expectations.” The Rolling Stones welcomed “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” co-author/original artist Solomon Burke to help sing the song and renowned drummer Jim Keltner to add to “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.”

Plenty of classics were also performed in front of the small crowd in L.A. such as “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Beast Of Burden,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Start Me Up,” “Brown Sugar” and the evening’s “Tumbling Dice” encore. Watch the trailer for The Rolling Stones’ Live At The Wiltern set below:

The Rolling Stones embark on a North American tour on April 28. The 16-city trek comes in support of the group’s 2023 LP, Hackney Diamonds, and ends on July 17 in Santa Clara, California.
