Multi-talented musicians Eric Krasno and Son Little (Aaron Livingston) joined forces to form the new group Roll Mega. The pair introduced the new project, whose name was inspired by the paper towel section of a grocery store, with their first single, “U Shake Me.”

“We didn’t set out to start a band,” Livingston revealed. “We were just making stuff we liked. A very open concept: two artists throwing paint at the wall with very little regard for who played what without aiming for a specific result. Out of dozens of eclectic instrumentals, certain pieces seemed to draw out melodies and lyrics that stuck in my head over the weeks and months, and that’s how we ended up with Roll Mega.”

Krasno was performing with his band at the 2017 Peach Music Festival when he first encountered Livingston. The two later linked up with Livingston contributing to the track “Apples” on Krasno’s 2019 album, Telescope. Their collaborations continued and in 2022 they toured together performing separate sets with the same backing band.

“I loved working with Aaron,” Krasno stated. “I was already a fan of his voice and songwriting, but once we were in the studio I discovered he was also a great player and producer. We are both massive music fans and love the process of making records. This project grew out of us just having fun in the studio and making music we liked.”

Additional Roll Mega singles are expected to be released throughout the rest of the year. A full-length album is planned to come out in 2025.
