Roger Waters Plays ‘Pigs On The Wing 2’ In Mexico City

On Thursday, for the second night in a row Pink Floyd co-founding member Roger Waters held a concert at Foro Sol in Mexico City. Sticking largely to the same setlist as Wednesday’s concert, Waters did drop one additional rarity into last night’s show, playing a Pink Floyd classic live purportedly for the first time as a solo artist.

Waters and his band again started the concert with a Dark Side Of The Moon sequence of “Speak To Me” and “Breathe” followed by a rendition of “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun.” Waters then offered his second live solo rendition of the Meddle song “One Of These Days” and later reprised his arrangement of the Meddle rarity “Fearless.”

Like Wednesday’s concert, last evening’s performance of well-known favorite “Wish You Were Here” preceded an interlude and then a string of songs from Animals. Unlike the opening show, last night Waters injected his first non-Pink Floyd performance of “Pigs On The Wing 2” immediately after playing “Pigs On The Wing 1.” The added song came ahead of fellow Animals tracks “Dogs” and “Pigs (Three Different Ones).” The Wall selections “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” and “Mother” and another run of DSOTM songs closed out the main set.

Acoustic renditions of “Vera” and “Bring the Boys Back Home” and a show closing “Comfortably Numb” constituted the three-song encore. Below watch audience-shot video footage of Thursday’s concert in Mexico:
