Rodrigo y Gabriela Performs NPR Music ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

Acoustic duo Rodrigo y Gabriela recorded a four-song set at their home studio in Mexico for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video series. Guitarists Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero delivered a career-spanning performance for Tiny Desk (Home) Concert that included one song they played during their Tiny Desk Concert debut in 2009.

Up first for the pair was “Tamacun” from their self-titled 2006 debut studio album. Quintero then dedicated their performance to all those watching in the spirit of healing before Sanchez noted it had been 11 years since their last appearance in the series. Rodrigo y Gabriela then stuck with their 2006 LP for “Diablo Rojo” and went with “Hanuman” from 2009’s 11:11, the song they performed for Tiny Desk Concert in 2009.
