Rodrigo y Gabriela shared a new single, “The Eye That Catches The Dream.” The song is set for the virtuosic guitar duo’s forthcoming album, In Between Thoughts…A New World, arriving on April 21 via ATO Records.
Rodrigo y Gabriela detailed In Between Thoughts...A New World in February and also shared the single “Descending To Nowhere.” The duo followed with “Egoland” in early March and now “The Eye That Catches The Dream.”
The new single — “which shifts from stark opening notes to a glorious whirlwind of galloping rhythms, sweeping strings, and brightly bubbling effects,” as per a press release — embodies one of Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero’s main takeaways from In Between Thoughts…A New World.
“The music just started flowing out, without any real intention,” Rodrigo said with Gabriela adding, “I think one of the main things we’ll take away from this experience is to let the music flow.”
