Robert Randolph confirmed a series of U.S. headline tour dates for August in support of his soon-to-be-released album, Preacher Kids, which arrives next Friday, June 27 on Sun Records. The new dates come in addition to previously announced headline dates, festival appearances and fall slots opening for Steve Miller Band.

Produced by Shooter Jennings, Preacher Kids marks the sacred steel specialist’s first studio album in five years and Sun Records debut. Robert Randolph will hit the road accompanied by a new band featuring guitarist Tash Neal, drummer Willie Barthel and bassist/vocalist Jay White.

“We made this album the way we’re about to play it—live, loud, and full of soul,” noted Randolph. “This tour is about connection. It’s about getting back to the magic that happens when music, energy, and people come together in a room.”
