Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters have revealed plans for the Blues…Roots and Hollers (A Southern Journey) Spring Tour. The new dates find the Led Zeppelin frontman and his band focusing on the American South with an 11-show run. Plant also confirmed the band has started recording a new album.

First up is a stop at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in Florida the weekend of March 4 – 6 before heading through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas, currently planning to wrap up on March 20 at ACL Live at Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. The Sonics have been tapped as opening support.

“I’m always eager to return to the hospitality of the Southern states,” said Plant. “Towns and cities that hold fond memories for me personally, places that gave birth to so much of the music I love. Our recent travels have taken this wild whirlwind of a band though many incredible and inspiring places. Having just begun work on our new album, we thought we’d take time out to raise a little sand and welcome springtime with one more adventure, another celebration of life and song.”

The Sensational Space Shifters lineup includes Justin Adams, John Baggott, Juldeh Camara, Billy Fuller, Dave Smith and Liam “Skin” Tyson. Full tour details including ticket sale information is available at Plant’s official website.
