Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant will release a solo anthology, Digging Deep on October 2 through his label Es Paranza. The announcement of the career-spanning collection coincides with today’s launch of the third season of Plant’s podcast, Digging Deep With Robert Plant.

The anthology is composed of 30 songs, three of which are previously unreleased including a track from an upcoming Band Of Joy album. Spanning four decades, the set features selections from each of Plant’s 11 solo albums. Among those appearing with Plant are his Zeppelin band mate Jimmy Page, as well as Buddy Miller, Patty Griffin, Phil Collins, Nigel Kennedy, Richard Thompson and Plant’s backing bands Strange Sensation and The Sensational Space Shifters.

The first episode of Digging Deep With Robert Plant season three examines the song “Morning Dew,” which was written by Bonnie Dobson and was a staple of Grateful Dead performances. Plant recorded the song on his 2002 solo album, Dreamland, and discusses helping Dobson get proper songwriting credit. The episode, recorded live at Rough Trade in London earlier this year, can be heard below:
