Robbie Robertson Appears On Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast

Last year guitarist Robbie Robertson released Testimony, a memoir about his time in The Band and beyond. Robertson recently spoke with comedian Marc Maron about the formation of The Band, The Last Waltz and many additional topics for Maron’s WTF Podcast.
Robbie and Marc spent a lot of time discussing how Robertson was found by Bob Dylan and his first tours with the Nobel Laureate including the response to Dylan going electric. The guitarist talked about his time backing Ronnie Hawkins and how he came to start The Hawks who then became The Band. Robertson additionally went into detail about the genesis of 1976’s The Last Waltz concert that marked his final performance with The Band.
