Co-founding AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young passed away one week ago at the age of 64. In the days since his death countless tributes have been shared in Young’s memory, often coming from many of the fellow talented musicians he inspired.
The Scotland-born, Australia-raised Young and his energetic brother Angus Young established AC/DC in 1973, co-writing numerous classic hard rock hits such as “It’s A Long Way To The Top,” “Highway To Hell,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Hells Bells,” “Back In Black,” “Thunderstruck” and many others. First fronted by Bon Scott through his untimely death in 1980 and later by vocalist Brian Johnson, Malcolm was an integral presence in shaping the sound of the legendary band in the studio and in the live setting. Dementia forced Malcolm’s retirement in 2014, bringing an end to one of the all-time most successful and influential careers in rock history.
Described as the “ultimate live AC/DC experience” Saturday Stream presents an officially curated Spotify Playlist featuring a collection of live recordings from throughout the band’s illustrious career. Stream the 25-song live set, followed by recently shared tributes to Malcolm below:
