Release Day Picks: December 1st New Album Highlights

Each week Release Day Picks profiles new LPs and EPs Team JamBase will be checking out on release day Friday. This week we highlight new albums by Neil Young and Promise of The Real, The Rolling Stones, U2, Chris Stapleton and Wilco. Read on for more insight into the records we have all queued up to spin.

Neil Young & Promise Of The Real- The Visitor

The Scoop: At 72-years-old Neil Young is still fighting for causes he believes in and putting just as much passion into it as ever. In recent years the singer-songwriter has spoken out about environmental issues, championed the electric car and developed a high-fidelity audio format. Young is now taking a stand against the current president and his “Make America Great” agenda with his 39th studio album – The Visitor. Recorded at Shangri La Studio, the 10-track effort once again sees Young teaming with Promise Of The Real, with whom he previously worked on the 2016 live album EARTH and 2015’s The Monsanto Years. With a title that’s a sly nod to the fact he’s Canadian, the album finds Young challenging the current administration and imploring people to stand up for what they believe in. Check out the music video for the album’s politically-charged lead single “Children of Destiny”:
