Reed Mathis Shares First Taste Of Electric Beethoven Project

When the lineup for Jam Cruise 15 was announced one of the more intriguing listings was Electric Beethoven which finds bassist Reed Mathis fronting an ensemble that also includes drummer Jay Lane, keyboardist Todd Stoops, drummer Cochrane McMillan and guitarist Clay Welch. In recent days social feeds for the project have come alive with hints of what’s to come.
Yesterday, two pieces of music were posted on Electric Beethoven’s Instagram page. The first features drummer Joe Russo with Mathis commenting on the post, “Joe was literally bleeding on the drum set by the end of the recording day.” Check it out:
