Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce New Single

There’s new music on the way from Red Hot Chili Peppers later this week. The rock band has revealed the release of a new single “Dark Necessities” on Thursday, May 4.

The new song will be the first new material issued by the band since their 2011 LP I’m With You. Last year RHCP bassist Flea revealed the group was working on what would be their 11th studio album with producer Danger Mouse, which would break a 20+ year and six album streak of working with acclaimed producer Rick Rubin. An update from the band in March revealed longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich was mixing the new record.
