Real Estate made their Jimmy Kimmel Live debut as the musical guests on Monday’s episode of the late-night talk show. The band performed the pretty song “Water Underground,” which appears on their recently released album, Daniel.

Daniel, the band’s sixth full-length album, arrived on February 23 via Domino Recording Co. Real Estate have spent most of the time since touring behind the 11-track LP.

“This song is about writing songs,” noted frontman Martin Courtney in regards to Daniel’s lead single. “I think ‘Water Underground’ is like the unconscious, the mysterious part of your brain where creativity comes from. The constant flow of music in the back of your head. You get an idea while driving or walking the dog or something and you want to hold on to it.”
