'Days' will be performed in its entirety at shows held in Atlantic City, Brooklyn and San Francisco.
Real Estate will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Days studio album at four special shows tacked on to the group’s upcoming fall tour. Each concert will see Real Estate performing the album in its entirety.
The run begins at Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City on November 20. Real Estate then heads to Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Made for shows on November 22 and 23 before wrapping the celebratory jaunt at August Hall in San Francisco on December 15.
Days is Real Estate’s sophomore studio album and was released on October 18, 2011. Kevin McMahon produced nine of the LP’s 10 tracks recorded at sessions held at Marcata Recording in New Paltz, New York. Days also includes “Out Of Tune,” a track produced by Jarvis Taveniere the band laid down at Brooklyn’s Rear House.
Read a statement from Real Estate regarding the Days shows:
It’s difficult to overstate how important DAYS has been to our trajectory as a band. We were really just kids when we made it. I can remember long days and even longer nights in New Paltz, NY laboring over this record. Nobody had ever held us to the standard of quality that our producer Kevin McMahon was holding us to. He even made us tune our guitars between takes! In turn, we held ourselves to the same standard, and the music is a testament to that. Ten years ago you heard it too, and that changed our lives. So here we are, still doing it. We’re pleased to invite you to celebrate this album at a few special shows where we’ll play it in its entirety, and a bunch of other stuff too! Obviously the band has changed in countless ways over the past 10 years. Come and help us celebrate this landmark of our past while looking forward to new music and an even brighter future.
A presale for tickets to the concerts begins tomorrow (Wednesday, August 25) at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT. Fans can now sign up for the code via the band’s website. Tickets then go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 27 at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
