Acclaimed singer-songwriter Randy Newman was Wednesday’s musical guest on the at-home edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Newman performed “Stay Away,” a song he wrote as a PSA of sorts towards the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Randy Newman debuted “Stay Away” last month on CBS Sunday Morning. Newman will donate proceeds from the song to the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in New Orleans. “It’s simple, it sounds simple and it is,” Randy said after his performance. “Stay away, wash your hands and don’t touch face. And don’t touch mine either!”
