Rainbow Kitten Surprise announced Spring 2024 tour dates around their recently announced first album in six years, Love Hate Music Box, due out on May 10 via Elektra. The Tiny Music Box Tour will largely take place in May.
The upcoming concerts mark Rainbow Kitten Surprise’s first shows in more than a year after canceling over 40 2023 dates so that frontperson Ela Melo could work on her mental wellness. RKS will return to the stage for the first time since April 2023 on May 6 at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.

The North Carolina-born band then hits New York City’s Webster Hall on May 9. A two-night stand at Boston’s Roadrunner follows on May 13 and 14.
Next, RKS heads down to Austin, Texas for a two-show stint at ACL Live at Moody Theater. The spring run wraps with another two-night stand at Denver’s Mission Ballroom on May 31 and June 1.
A presale begins Tuesday, March 19 at 10 a.m. local time. General onsales get underway Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. local time. RKS has teamed with Plus 1 to ensure that $1 per ticket benefits organizations delivering mental health treatment and access to care.

After Ela Melo was properly diagnosed and received the treatment she needed in 2023 regarding her mental health, the singer-songwriter experienced a creative renaissance — leading to the 22 tracks on Love Hate Music Box. Melo co-produced the album with renowned producers Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves) and Konrad Snyder (Noah Kahan).
“[T]he much-anticipated album ponders life’s ups and downs, and traces the turbulent trajectory of relationships, painted out loud in hues of pop, electronic, rock, and hip-hop,” as per a press release. “As such, it finds the musicians at their most vulnerable, vibrant, and vital.”
RKS recently shared two singles to preview the record. Watch the music videos for “Superstar” and “LOL’ below:
