[Updated] Radiohead Announces First Live Appearances Since 2012

On November 17, 2012 Radiohead ended a brief tour of Australia and New Zealand with a performance at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. The band has yet to play a show since, but that will change later this year. After more than three years Radiohead will return to the stage as the British band has announced headlining appearances at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival (June 1 – 5); Gallen, Switzerland’s OpenAir St. Gallen (June 30 – July 3) festival and NOS Alive festival (July 8).

As for those of us Stateside, Consequence of Sound reports Radiohead will tour North America in July. The band hit the studio last fall to work on their ninth studio album which is expected at some point in 2016. Radiohead will be joined at Primavera Sound by an impressive list of performers that includes LCD Soundsystem, Tame Impala, Sigur Rós, Animal Collective, Beach House, the Last Shadow Puppets and Brian Wilson. The OpenAir lineup also includes Mumford & Sons, Caribou and many others, while Radiohead is part of a NOS Alive lineup that also features Chemical Brothers, Tame Impala and the Pixies, among others.
