Back on August 2, Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir appeared and performed at eTown Hall in Boulder for the long-running eTown program. Last week, eTown unveiled a series of interviews and performances featuring Weir and today the show has shared six more videos starring Bobby as well as audio of the entire episode.
Up first is a stirring rendition of the Grateful Dead classic “Friend Of The Devil” featuring a band that included guitarist Steve Kimock and eTown host Nick Forster on mandolin:
The second Weir video shared this week finds Bob discussing the current media landscape ahead of a performance of Blue Mountain track “One More River To Cross”:
Bob’s visit to eTown continued with a riveting take on the Hunter/Garcia gem “Loser”:
The Grateful Dead guitarist teamed with a full band featuring Nick Forster and Steve Kimock on guitar with Nick’s wife Helen Forster adding backing vocals to “Gonesville” off Blue Mountain:
In this penultimate video Bobby leads Kimock and the eTown Band on a cover of The Temptations’ “Shakey Ground”:
The finale saw Bob Weir, the Forsters, Kimock, John Fullbright and the eTown Band deliver a rousing rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm”:
