On April 12 Georgia rockers Widespread Panic ended their first set at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi with a double dose of The Band covers. Guitarist John Bell led the group through a raucous version of “Ophelia” before keyboardist JoJo Hermann shared lead vocals with JB on “The Shape I’m In.” Today, Widespread Panic has unveiled pro-shot video of The Band covers from Mississippi.

Panic first started covering “Ophelia” in 1987 and it has been in fairly steady rotation ever since with the exception of the periods between 1991 and 1997 and 2003 through 2007. The group debuted their take on “The Shape I’m In” in 1995 and performed the song three times that year before putting it on the shelf until 2009. In recent years it’s turned up a handful of times with nearly all performances of “The Shape I’m In” following “Ophelia” as it did on April 12 in Jackson.
