Pro-Shot Video: Umphrey’s McGee Shares ‘In The Black’ From 2016 Red Rocks Run

Last month, unveiled a new studio album entitled it’s you with no advance notice. Umphrey’s had only played three of the 10 songs featured on it’s you live ahead of its surprise release. One of those tunes is “In The Black” and the sextet has shared professionally-shot video documenting a live rendition from a 2016 concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

“In The Black” was debuted live by UM on May 1, 2015 during the “All Request” second quarter of their UMBowl VI performance at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The band has gone on to play “In The Black” 23 more times including as part of their first set at Red Rocks on July 3, 2016. Umphrey’s McGee will return to the famed Colorado venue for a three-night run next month spanning July 5 – 7.
