This past Friday night, Baltimore-based jam act Pigeons Playing Ping Pong provided halftime entertainment at Madison Square Garden in New York City during the NBA game between the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Pro-shot video of the performance has been shared by the band.
The quartet opened their short performance with “Something For Ya” off the recently released Pizazz. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong transitioned into a brief cover of “1999” by Prince. Guitarists Jeremy Schon, Greg Ormont, bassist Ben Carrey and drummer Alex Petropulous continued the medley with “F.U.” Ormont then led the foursome into “I Got You (I Feel Good)” by James Brown to close out the eight-minute performance.
