Pro-Shot Video: Kamasi Washington Plays ‘The Rhythm Changes’ At 2016 Pitchfork Music Festival

Earlier this month, the 2016 installment of the Pitchfork Music Festival was staged at Union Park in Chicago. Jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington was among the diverse lineup of performers and official video footage from his appearance has been made available by the event organizers.
In the video below Washington leads the eight-piece ensemble through “The Rhythm Changes,” which appeared on his expansive and excellent 2015 debut album The Epic. Patrice Quinn is featured on lead vocals on the 11+ minute performance. Watch the set-closing rendition of “The Rhythm Changes” here:
