Pro-Shot Video: Kamasi Washington Full Performance Live On KEXP

Seattle-based radio station KEXP recently hosted Kamasi Washington at its new studio space near the iconic Space Needle. The bandleader and his ensemble offered two songs during their December 2, 2016 performance, officially shot video of which has been officially shared.
The veteran Los Angeles-based Jazz saxophonist, Washington gained notoriety after issuing his critically acclaimed triple-LP The Epic and contributing to Kendrick Lamar’s stand out album To Pimp A Butterfly. Washington and his band featuring his father Rickey Washington are currently aboard Jam Cruise 15. Their performance at KEXP was hosted by Larry Rose and featured renditions of The Epic tracks “Re Run” and “The Rhythm Changes.”
