Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead rolled out the latest installment of their Rad Tracks Thursday series and it’s a doozy. Today’s professionally-shot video features the show-opening, 23+ minute “Jam” > “Here Comes Sunshine” sequence that opened the band’s July 2 show at the Belly Up Aspen.

JRAD kicks off the performance with a dark bit of improv before starting up “Here Comes Sunshine.” Tom Hamilton does an admirable job with the vocals before Almost Dead takes the song deep. The band shows off the intense jamming that has won them new fans at every stop. Watch how it went down:

Today’s release comes a few weeks after JRAD shared a crispy soundboard matrix recording of their visit to Aspen. Next up for the five-piece is a three-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on October 6 – 8.
