By Scott Bernstein Jul 19, 2017 9:31 am PDT

Last month Jason Isbell issued the acclaimed album The Nashville Sound, his first LP with backing band The 400 Unit since 2011’s Here We Rest. One of the many great tunes on the album is “Hope For The High Road” and Isbell has shared video featuring a raw and biting live performance of the single with The 400 Unit.

Isbell, Derry deBorja (keyboards), Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass), Amanda Shires (fiddle) and Sadler Vaden (guitar) recorded the version of “Hope For The High Road” at Nashville’s Pulse Lighting, likely during rehearsals for their current tour. A small audience of fans looks on as Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit roll through the rocker.
