Pro-Shot Video: Grateful Ball Performs ‘If I Had The World To Give’ At Grey Fox 2017

Back in 2016, The Travelin’ McCourys and the Jeff Austin Band teamed up for a run of shows that saw each band perform a set of their own music and then come together to interpret the music Grateful Dead for a project they dubbed Grateful Ball.

Last summer the collaborative bluegrass act played the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill, New York. Less Than Face Productions have now shared official video footage of the band performing the Grateful Dead rarity “If I Had The World To Give” from their 1978 release Shakedown Street. Written by Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia, the romantic ode was debuted by the Grateful Dead on August 30, 1978, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado and performed a total of three times that last coming on November 20, of the same year just five days after the release of the album it appeared on.

The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival returns to the Walsh Farm in Oak Hill this July. Watch Grateful Ball perform “If I Had The World To Give” below:
