Pro-Shot: Katie Jacoby Adds Electric Violin To Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s ‘Friend Of The Devil’

From March 24 – 26, Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead held court at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City, the venue where it all started for the five-piece back in January of 2013. The final night of JRAD’s recent visit to Brooklyn Bowl saw the group aided by electric violinist Katie Jacoby for portions of the show. This week’s Rad Tracks features pro-shot footage of one of the songs Katie sat-in on.
In the video below we see Katie showing off her skills on a heartfelt rendition of “Friend Of The Devil” as part of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s first set at Brooklyn Bowl on March 26. Jacoby, a member of Zappa tribute act The Ed Palermo Big Band, also sat-in on the end of “Terrapin Station” during the first set of JRAD’s Brooklyn finale.
