Pro-Shot Full Show Video: The Disco Biscuits Bust Out ‘Widow In The Rain’ In NYC
By Andy Kahn Sep 21, 2017 • 11:02 am PDT

Last night The Disco Biscuits kicked off their City Bisco 2017 run of shows in New York City with the first of two appearance at Irving Plaza. Wednesday’s concert featured a bust out of a tDB rarity that was making just its second setlist since 2010.
City Bisco 2017 began with a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell” which segued into “Lunar Pursuit.” The seamless first set continued with “Shem-Rah Boo” ahead of the first “Widow In The Rain” since last June, which also marked just the fourth performance of the rarity since 2003. A “Perfume” version of “Pilin’ It High” served as the opening set’s closer.
The second half opened with “Basis For A Day” > “Pimp Blue Rikkis” > “Spaga” before a return to close out “Shem-Rah Boo.” The quartet offered “Down To The Bottom” to bring set two to an end and the encore saw a take on “Wet” and the conclusion of the show opening “Run Like Hell.”
City Bisco 2017 continues tonight at Irving Plaza, ahead of shows Friday and Saturday at Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn. Free webcasts presented by Puffco of all of the shows are available via the Disco Biscuits YouTube Channel. Watch official footage of Wednesday’s show below:
