Princeton To Host First Pink Floyd Academic Conference

Princeton composers and Ph.D. Candidates Gilad Cohen and Dave Molk have co-organized the event, which includes such sessions as “Space and Repetition in David Gilmour’s Guitar Solos,” “The Visual Music Of Pink Floyd,” “The Shadow of Yesterday’s Triumph: ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ and the Stage Theory of Grief” and “Past as Material Object in Pink Floyd’s Work.” Pink Floyd producer/engineer James Guthrie will give the keynote speech. On April 11 a screening of The Wall will take place at Taplin Auditorium. A full schedule of events can be found here.
