Prince Signs Deal To Pen Highly Anticipated Autobiography

Prince recently announced he is writing a memoir for imprint Spiegel & Grau about his career which is currently set for release in Fall 2017. The Purple One revealed the working title of the autobiography is The Beautiful Ones and that the memoir will “[start] from the beginning from my first memory and hopefully we can go all the way up to the Super Bowl.”

“This is my first (book). My brother Dan is helping me with it. He’s a good critic and that’s what I need. He’s not a ‘yes’ man at all and he’s really helping me get through this,” Prince said in an event in New York City on Friday night as per ABC News. The Purple One signed on to write the book after he received “an offer I can’t refuse.”

Spiegel & Grau shared few details about what’s in store from Prince’s new autobiography, which is described as “an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work.” Executive Editor Chris Jackson said in a statement, “Prince is a towering figure in global culture and his music has been the soundtrack for untold numbers of people — including me — for more than a generation; his creative genius has provided the musical landscape of our lives.
