Prince Performs ‘1999’ For December 31, 1999 Broadcast: Pro-Shot Video

Prince ended a concert special filmed at his Paisley Park Studios that aired on December 31, 1999 with the fitting choice of “1999.” The Prince Estate uploaded video of the “1999” closer to the Prince YouTube channel.

Prince, his band and a number of guests performed at Paisley Park in December 1999 for the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 that premiered on Millenium Eve. The Purple One loaded the stage for the “1999” finale as confetti flew and the band worked in teases of “Also Sprach Zarathrustra,” a.k.a. “2001.” “1999” served as the title track of Prince’s 1982 studio album.
