Prince Performs ‘Let’s Go Crazy’, ‘Get Off,’ ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ & ‘Purple Rain’ At Paisley Park On Millennium Eve

On December 31, 1999, a Prince concert performed and recorded at his famed Paisley Park Studios facility in Minnesota earlier in the month was aired as a Millennium Eve Pay-Per-View special. Dubbed Rave Un2 The Year 2000, the Prince Estate has been rolling out pro-shot videos from the special including hits “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Get Off,” “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “Purple Rain.”

Rave Un2 the Year 2000 was issued as a companion to The Purple One’s 1999 studio album, Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. PBS broadcast the special back in June of 2019 in celebration of what would have been Prince’s 60th birthday. Tragically, Prince died of an accidental overdose on April 21, 2016.
