Pro-shot video featuring Prince‘s performance of “17 Days” from his April 28, 2011 concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California has been shared on The Purple One’s YouTube channel. The entire concert is included on Blu-Ray in the deluxe edition of the recently released “lost” Prince album Welcome 2 America.
The 12-track Welcome 2 America LP was recorded by Prince in 2010 but sat unissued until this past Friday. While the legendary musician didn’t release the album, he did name U.S. dates for his 2010 – 2012 tour Welcome 2 America. The run included a “21 Nite Stand” at The Forum in which Prince was backed by a New Power Generation lineup consisting of Morris Hayes, Shelby J., Liv Warfield, Elisa Fiorillo, Renato Neto, Cassandra O’Neal, Ida Nielsen and John Blackwell.

“17 Days” was originally put out by Prince in 1984 as the b-side to Purple Rain single “When Doves Cry.” Prince and the New Power Generation worked an interpolation of Teena Marie’s “Lovergirl” into “17 Days” at The Forum just months after Teena’s passing. Other highlights from the show include a run of hits “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Delirious,” “1999” and “Little Red Corvette” as well as covers of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love,” Janet Jackson’s “What Have You Done For Me Lately” and Kool & The Gang’s “Hollywood Swingin’.”
