Primus, Puscifer & A Perfect Circle Add Midwest & Northeast Dates To Collaborative Sessanta Tour

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle expanded their Sessanta Tour for the final time with eight more U.S. tour dates. The run will now hit the Northeast and Midwest in addition to previously announced shows on the West Coast, in the Southeast, Texas and Colorado.

Sessanta comes in celebration of Tool/A Perfect Circle/Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday. Each act will perform their own distinctive set and will invite members of the other bands to sit in. Look for “the players [to] continually transform as the night unfolds,” according to press materials announcing the tour.

“What a glorious notion of combining three bands that all start with the letter ‘P’ for a tribute to Maynard Keenan’s 60th trip around the sun,” proclaimed Primus bassist Les Claypool. “I’ve known Maynard for more than three decades and I have to say, I’ve yet to meet a more creative, ambitious and industrious human being; that is assuming he is actually human. Often his perspective and output are more ‘extraterrestrial’ than that of this planet so, It wouldn’t surprise me if he has some sort of ‘Prometheus’ type DNA deep in his marrow.”

The newly added tour dates have been tacked on to the beginning and end of the excursion. Sessanta will now get underway with a two-night stand at Boston’s Boch Center Wang Theatre on April 2 and 3. Engagements follow in Mashantucket, Connecticut on April 5 and Atlantic City, New Jersey on April 6.

After previously announced shows in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, California, Utah and Colorado, Sessanta pulls into Bonner Springs, Kansas on April 30. Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle will end the tour with shows in Chicago on May 1, Clarkston (Michigan) on May 2 and Queens (New York) on May 4.
