Primus Extends Tour | New Years Eve In Oakland

A few months back Primus announced the upcoming release of Primus & The Chocolate Factory and an accompanying tour. The album finds Les Claypool & Co. and assorted guests tackling the material from the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory soundtrack in the studio and is set for an October 21st release. Today, the band has extended the Primus & The Chocolate Factory Tour into 2015 and will also play a non-Chocolate Factory New Year’s show in the Bay Area.

The first new Primus & The Chocolate Factory date is for a performance at California Center For The Arts on November 22 in Escondido, CA. On January 2 Primus brings the tour to the Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR. Then, on January 3 the tour comes to The Paramount Theater in Seattle, WA.

Additionally, Primus will once again ring in the New Year at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA on December 31. A note on Spin.com mentions Primus’ New Year’s show will not be of the Chocolate Factory variety. A pre-sale for the New Year’s show will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. PT, which will be followed by the general on-sale this Friday, September 19 at 10 a.m. PT.

In case you missed it, Tool drummer Danny Carey made his Primus debut on Saturday night in Chicago. The trio even covered a bit of a Tool tune as part of their show at the Concord Music Hall.
